SENIOR SECURITY CONSULTANT

Job Description
The Security Consultants main role is to support end-users through the successful implementation of our products. Installation, tuning, one-on-one and group training, report and policy development will be part of the consultant's day-to-day tasks.
The core responsibilities of the Security Consultant are:
Delivering professional service engagement to a large Federal customer
Documentation of work performed - weekly, monthly, and yearly auditing
Becoming Subject Matter Expert for our products. Providing the customer a technical leader.
Delivering Services to multiple sub organizations within the Federal domain, including, but not limited to:
Large scale government IDS/IPS Architecture understanding in the range of 300,000 nodes
Leveraging enterprise Administration and Management Skills of a global Security Operations Center
Snort Rule Writing expertise
Snort/IDS/IPS Enterprise Process Expertise preferred
Security Analysis Skills at the Expert level
Vulnerability Assessment understanding
Required Skills
Experience consulting or working with customers
Highly proficient in Linux/Unix - Scripting a plus
Highly proficient in TCP/IP networking.
Knowledgeable in network security and skilled in security technologies
Knowledgeable in Snort and IDS/IPS
Ability to travel approximately 60-75% annually: locally in Northern Virginia, Washington DC with a large Federal cllient & Maryland as well as out of state.
Required Experience
7 years minimum experience working in a technical capacity with networking and network security products. Experience must include hands on knowledge of IDS systems (Snort experience preferred) and experience creating and tuning IDS and IPS policy.
Experience consulting with outside clients and end users -- experience integrating/implementing network security products is a must
Security Clearance at the Top Secret Level is a plus
