.Net/C#/SQL Software Developer - (Wilmington, NC)
Successful candidate will report directly to Development Director and will be responsible for the technical implementation, development and maintenance of company’s various software applications. This position will also provide product support to customer service and be responsible for providing direction and mentoring to the company’s applications development team.Duties Include:
- .NET/C#/SQL Application Development, Enhancement, and Administration -- Designs, develops, maintains and documents .NET and SQL applications
- Participates in requirements analysis and definition. Designs, writes, and develops Java applications, including system utilities for testing, monitoring, and administration of applications
- Design and develop new features that embrace changing business and marketing needs
- Design and develop revenue generating features to position IT as a revenue center
- Work closely with offshore development team to ensure projects are being delivered with high quality, on time and on budget.
- Work closely with and manage IT partners
- Works with third-party outside consultants and experts to accomplish specific projects and tasks
- Diagnose and resolve complex application software problems and their related interfaces.
- Document requirements and create design documents
- Stay abreast of state-of-the-art programming techniques, implements them, and advocates their implementation.
- Onsite client implementations
- Walk client through file specifications to ensure data provided meets specifics and is accurate
- Execute data integrity checks
- Defines and updates file specifications used to interface client data with data warehouse
- Makes recommendations to improve and support business activities.
- Provides input into developing and modifying systems to meet client and internal needs
- May create complex test case scenarios to be used in testing
- Participates in the testing of business applications to verify that all requirements are incorporated into the system design
- Coordinates and facilitates meetings with clients during implementations
- Provides data analysis where needed
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in CS, Information Systems or equivalent
- Minimum of 3 years general technical experience; .NET and SQL application development experience
- Oracle database and PL/SQL experience
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Experience working with the interface of information technology with functional groups within an organization
- Experience working with business processes and re-engineering
- Experience working with computer programming concepts and basic language
